"Colombian chanteuse Luc¡a Pulido reimagines the rich musical traditions of her native land, accompanied by her accomplished band, which includes guitar virtuoso and celebrated composer Sebastian Cruz." The New York Post
Since her arrival in NY in 1994, singer Lucia Pulido has mined the rich musical traditions of her native Colombia in her ongoing search for new and distinct musical possibilities. Her versatile singing style incorporates the strengths and subtleties of traditional Colombian genres as well as the precision and experimental flexibility of a highly cultivated vocal style. The New York Times says that, "Ms. Pulido holds on to the rawness of the original melodies while giving them a sophisticated new context."
Sebastián Cruz is working as musical director for Lucía Pulido's Colombian music project. The repertoire includes arrangements by Sebastián of traditional Colombian music, of songs by Iván Benavides, and of original songs by Sebastián.
